Nottingham Forest are considering a swap deal for Watford’s Ismaila Sarr as they look to bolster their attack. To facilitate the deal, Emmanuel Dennis could make a return to the Championship club.
Nottingham Forest are in better form in the league after finally getting out of the relegation zone and will be looking to strengthen their squad this winter in a bid to stay in the Premier League. In order to do so, several positions are being targeted, such as striker, central midfielder and central defender. But before they can think about strengthening, Forest will first have to clear out a crowded squad.
The Reds’ board have a clear idea of how to achieve both goals at the same time. According to The Mirror, they are considering offering Watford a swap deal for Ismaïla Sarr and Emmanuel Dennis.
Filippo Giraldi, former Watford sporting director who is now at Nottingham Forest, has been following his former player’s progression and would welcome his arrival at the City Ground.
Ismaïla Sarr has scored 6 goals and provided 5 assists in 21 Championship games this season and could be a significant reinforcement for Nottingham Forest in their quest to stay in the Premier League.
Emmanuel Dennis arrived at Forest in the summer for a £15m fee, but has never established himself at the club and has only made three Premier League starts, scoring one goal and providing one assist. According to The Athletic, the club are keen to part ways with him, especially as the player’s behavioural problems are reportedly causing internal annoyance.
