Emmanuel Dennis has not played much this season for Nottingham Forest. And yet. He is the only Premier League player to have managed to dribble past Manchester United right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
Despite Nottingham Forest’s difficulty in scoring goals this season in the Premier League, Steve Cooper has plenty of attacking options at his disposal. Taiwo Awoniyi, Brennan Johnson, Chris Wood, Emmanuel Dennis, Morgan Gibbs-White and Sam Surridge have all been used by Steve Cooper this season. This armada has only allowed the club to score 24 goals in the Premier League this season.
But despite their low efficiency in front of goal, Nottingham Forest has developed a speciality in the fast counter-attack. It is in this way that the team builds most of its chances. In this area, technical players such as Morgan Gibbs-White, Brennan Johnson and Emmanuel Dennis excel. And the latter has a statistic that only he has achieved.
Of all the players in the Premier League, he is the only one to have managed to dribble past Manchester United right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka. The Englishman is known to be difficult to get past, with good defensive and ball-winning skills. So you have to be clever to get past him, and Emmanuel Dennis managed to do just that. If he is in the starting line-up next Sunday when Nottingham Forest take on Manchester United, perhaps he can do it a second time.
