On the BBC, presenter and former player Clinton Morrison said he thought Nottingham Forest would be relegated if they decided to sack Steve Cooper.
Nottingham Forest lost 2-1 at Leeds United last night, despite Orel Mangala opening the scoring for Steve Cooper’s side. The defeat, against a rival in the fight for survival, has hurt Forest’s chances of success and undermines Cooper’s own future as manager.
On the post-match show, BBC host and former player Clinton Morrison expressed his opinion on the Steve Cooper situation.
“The situation is different with this club. Those other clubs needed to make changes but when jobs have been available, you saw Cooper’s name linked.
“He’s always said he’s interested in staying here and finishing what he has started.
“It would be a big call if they got rid of him and I think they would get relegated. They have more of a chance of staying up with Cooper in charge.”
